Advanced Training. Real Competition. Future Focused.
A high-standard AAU environment built for athletes pursuing college and professional basketball pathways.
Program Overview
The TaQwa Basketball AAU Elite Team is designed for serious athletes who aspire to compete at the college and professional level. This is a highly selective program built around discipline, high basketball IQ, and a competitive training environment.
Players train in a small roster setting, allowing for maximum repetitions, direct coaching, and true team chemistry. Practices are structured, intense, and intentional—focused on skill development, decision-making, conditioning, and game execution.
This program is not recreational. It is for athletes who are committed to growth, accountability, and competing against high-level talent.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)?
-
TaQwa Basketball focuses on small rosters, consistent coaching, and player development over volume. We intentionally limit team size and emphasize discipline, accountability, and long-term growth rather than running multiple teams or chasing tournaments.
-
Players will compete against high-level regional AAU teams. Tournament selection is based on team readiness and development stage to ensure athletes are challenged without being overmatched.
-
We hold players to high standards of conduct. Disrespect, poor effort, or repeated discipline issues may result in reduced playing time or removal from the program to protect the team environment.
-
We understand multi-sport and school commitments. However, AAU participation requires consistent attendance and communication. Conflicts should be communicated in advance, and AAU responsibilities remain a priority once committed.
-
Player development is evaluated through practice performance, game execution, coach feedback, and growth in basketball IQ, effort, and consistency—not just statistics.
-
This is a selective program, and fit matters. If it becomes clear the environment is not the right fit, we will communicate honestly and professionally to determine the best path forward.
-
Parental support is important, but player growth happens through consistent work, accountability, and coach-led instruction. Families are expected to support the time commitment required for two weekly practices, scheduled games, and team events, maintain open communication, and allow coaches to manage instruction and development.
-
Success means helping every athlete in this small, elite group develop toward earning a Division I college basketball scholarship. While scholarships are never guaranteed, our standard is to train, compete, and hold players accountable at a level consistent with D1 expectations, habits, and discipline.
-
Parents and players are responsible for their own transportation and are expected to arrive on time to all game locations, whether local or regional. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential to team operations and player participation.
